Australia warmed up for the Kia Women’s Test on Tuesday with a well-fought match against a combined ECB Academy and Surrey Boys side at The County Ground, Beckenham.

Kent’s Tammy Beaumont captained the Academy side against Australia and scored 29 and 25 at the top of the order in each innings.

County colleague Tash Farrant dismissed opened Elyse Villani, caught at gully for 43 as Australia declared their second innings on 304-3 at tea before the sides shook hands with the hosts on 64-1.

Nicole Bolton and Alyssa Healy (pictured above), niece of former Aussie gloveman Ian, retired on 100 from 135 balls in the second innings.

Each of the top four touring batsmen scored 50s in the first innings to get some vital red-ball practice in the middle ahead of the Kia Test at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence next week.

Entry to the Kia Women's Test on August 11-14 is included in Championship Plus and All Rounder Memberships and is an option for Six Pack holders.
