Wednesday 30th November 2016
Kent batsman Daniel Bell-Drummond is set to open for England Lions with Durham's Keaton Jennings at the start of their series against the United Arab Emirates on Thursday (December 1).
The 23-year-old returns to the scene of his Lions debut last winter alongside Jennings who will lead the side on his maiden Lions appearance before joining up with the senior England squad for a possible Test debut in Mumbai next week.
But instead of staying with the Lions for their four-day game against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi next week, the 24-year-old will make the short trip to Maharashtra, to link up with his Durham team-mate Ben Stokes and the rest of the senior England squad.
Jennings is set to be one of two Lions debutants against a UAE team coached by former England batsman Owais Shah.
