Charlotte Edwards signs for Adelaide Strikers

Kent captain Charlotte Edwards has signed for Adelaide Strikers in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) this winter.
After defecting from Western Australia, the former England skipper will play all her cricket in South Australia with a stint for the 50-over side, the Scorpions in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) followed by the second edition of the WBBL in December.
"I’m really excited about this opportunity with the Strikers, especially with the growth of women’s cricket in Australia at an all-time high.
“The WBBL has gone from strength to strength and to have 10,000 fans watching last New Year’s Eve was incredible."
The Strikers have also announced the re-signings of Alex Price, Megan Schutt, Bridget Patterson and Tahlia McGrath for WBBL|02 with more re-signings set to be announced soon.
