Colin Milburn play to be performed at The Spitfire Ground

Monday 22nd August 2016

A new play about former England batsman Colin Milburn will be performed at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence on Tuesday 15November.

When The Eye has Gone by former Kent and Derbyshire cricketer-turned-playwright James Graham-Brown is a one-man show that tells the story of the all-too-short life of the former England and Northants player.

Having just established himself as England’s most exciting attacking batsman his glittering playing career came to an abrupt end when he lost an eye in a car accident.

Aged only 27 and utterly unprepared for life after cricket he drifted into alcoholism and died just 19 years later in the obscurity of a pub car park.

Tickets are priced at £10 and £8 for concessions (booking fee included in this price).
