Darren Stevens and Charlotte Edwards win PCA Awards

Men’s First Team

Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens won the Natwest T20 Blast Player of the Year and women's captain Charlotte Edwards won England Player of the Year at the 2014 PCA Awards in London last night.

At a star-studded ceremony at Old Billingsgate overlooking London Bridge, the country's best cricketers turned out to celebrate the 2014 season.

Stevens picked up the 20-over prize from former Leicestershire team-mate Paul Nixon before missing out on the overall Player of the Year prize, won by Yorkshire's Adam Lyth.

The veteran all-rounder was laso named in the PCA Team of the Year

Charlotte Edwards was named England Women's Player of the Year and England team-mate Heather Knight received the trophy on her behalf as the Kent captain is away on playing duty in Australia.

The Young Player of the Year was won by another Yorkshire star, Alex Lees, ahead of Kent nominee Sam Billings.
