England Women win low-scoring World T20 thriller in Dharamsala

Kent's Tammy Beaumont was the top scorer as England clinched a tense two-wicket win against India in Dharamsala.

England secured a second group stage win as spinners prospered for both sides in tricky batting conditions after Kent and England captain Charlotte Edwards won the toss and inserted the hosts.

County colleague Lydia Greenway took two catches as vice-captain Heather Knight returned 3-15 off four overs with her off spin as India were restricted to just 90.

The modest chase was never straightforward despite Beaumont's 20 off 18 balls as slow left-armer Ekta Bisht took 4-21.

England lost regular wickets before reaching the victory target with just an over and two wickets to spare.

Next up for England is a top-of-the-table clash with unbeaten group leaders West Indies, who have also won both of their matches to date.

The sides face off at Dharmasala on Thursday (24 March) at 2pm GMT with live coverage on Sky Sports TV and BBC Radio.
