Glamorgan v Kent in Specsavers County Championship (Sun, 11am)

Kent have named a 12-man squad to face Glamorgan in the Specsavers County Championship at Cardiff on Sunday (11am start).

The visitors are looking to complete a red-ball double against the Welsh side after two white-ball defeats to Glamorgan in six days in the Royal London One-Day Cup and NatWest T20 Blast.

Sean Dickson, Calum Haggett and Tom Latham are set to return to the fold for the four-day match.

Kent remain unbeaten in red-ball cricket and begin a run of three Championship matches in three weeks interspersed with several NatWest T20 Blast matches.

Spinner James Tredwell said the introduction of New Zealand opener Tom Latham has reinforced a burgeoning batting line-up.

The 34-year-old Ashford-born bowler said: “Having that little bit of extra quality in your line-up can make a big difference.

"Even when Tom has not been in the starting XI he has been great to have around the place. He’s a real level-headed character who just helps calm us down when we need it.

"He’s not a huge hitter of the ball and won’t be smashing it out of the park but, in the games I’ve played against him on tour, he’s a niggly sort of batsman who finds a way of getting the ball into areas that you’ve left slightly unprotected.”

Kent squad: 17 Sam Northeast (c), 23 Daniel Bell-Drummond, 48 Tom Latham, 6 Joe Denly, 58 Sean Dickson, 3 Darren Stevens, 7 Sam Billings (w), 25 Calum Haggett, 26 Matt Coles, 15 James Tredwell, 8 Mitch Claydon, 14 Matt Hunn
