Hartley and Qayyum join South African clubs for winter

Kent bowlers Charlie Hartley and Imran Qayyum are playing in the 2016-17 Western Province Cricket Association competitions in South Africa.

22-year-old seamer Hartley is representing Durbanville Cricket Club and 23-year-old spinner Qayyum has joined Victoria Cricket Club as they step up their preparations for the 2017 season.

On Saturday, Hartley took 1/51 and scored 15 on debut against Western Province Cricket Cricket Club and Qayyum ended with 0/29 in nine overs against Montrose Cricket Club.

On Sunday, Hartley conceded just 20 runs in four overs as Durbanville triumphed in the T20 semi-final with a five-run win.
