Imran Qayyum takes five-wicket haul for Bromley

Kent spinner Imran Qayyum claimed five wickets for Bromley in the Shepherd Neame Kent Cricket Premier League.

The 23-year-old, fresh from his home Specsavers County Championship debut at Tunbridge Wells last week, took 5/29 in 8.5 overs as Bromley restricted Beckenham to 174.

The Bromley skipper also took a catch and scored 31 but his side suffered a collapse from 102/2 to 168 all out as Will MacVicar claimed a five-wicket haul for Beckenham.

Sam Weller took two wickets in two balls and scored a quick-fire 50 as Tenterden lost at home to Blackheath.

Zak Crawley took a wicket in a single-over cameo with the ball and scored 29 off 32 balls as Sevenoaks Vine lost to league leaders Hartley Country Club.

Academy batsman Marcus O’Riordan scored 40 in Tunbridge Wells’ win at Dartford, where Charlie Hartley took a wicket for the hosts.

Adam Riley continued his return from a side strain by conceding just eight runs in seven overs as Bexley beat Lordswood by 69 runs.

In Division One, Matt Hunn took 1/9 off eight overs in Sandwich Town’s 124-run win at home to Hayes.

Seamer Hugh Bernard and Academy leg-spinner Jan Gray took a wicket each for Folkestone in their defeat at Linden Park.
