James Tredwell extends Kent Cricket contract
England spinner James Tredwell has committed his future to Kent, signing an extension to his contract.
The Ashford-born bowler progressed through the Kent age group system before making his first-class debut in 2001.
Tredwell, whose contract was due to expire at the end of the 2015 season and the bowler was pleased to put pen to paper on a new deal with the club.

The 32-year-old said before flying out to Sri Lanka with England: “I am delighted to secure my future here at Kent. I have been here all my career and it was great to return after my time away with Sussex this year.

“The future at Kent looks really exciting with lots of home-grown players coming through and I hope to play a part in success going forward.
​​
“Like all the Kentish guys, I am very proud to have come through the system and play for my home county but our ambitions don’t stop there.
​​
“Getting to the Royal London One-Day Cup semis was encouraging but we need to keep progressing as individuals and as a team.
“I think if we can tighten up in a few areas, we can get the consistency we need to be successful.”
​Tredwell has represented England in 39 One-Day Internationals and 17 Twenty20s and is bidding to secure a place in the 2015 World Cup squad.
