Monday 15th December 2014

Kent batsman Joe Denly completed his seven-match spell in Bangladesh with a win.

Playing his seventh and final game for Brothers Union in the Dhaka Premier League on Monday, the 28-year-old took two wickets as his team secured a 93-run win.

Invited to bat first by opponents Old DOHS Sports Club, Brothers made 195 in 49.4 overs with Denly scoring 26 off 46 balls.

His 53-minute innings contained two fours and a six before he was run out by Sanjit Shah.

In the reply, Brothers took regular wickets including another two for the Kent man and a catch to dismiss Sanjit Shah.

Over his month-long spell in Dhaka, Denly took ten wickets and scored 217 runs in seven matches at an average of 36.

The Canterbury-born batsman, who rejoined his home county in October, will return home for Christmas before considering his overseas playing options in preparation for the 2015 season.
