Kent County Cricket Club Appoint new Communications Manager – Thomas Brown

After a thorough recruitment process, the clubhasappointed ThomasBrown, as Communications Manager, he will manage media relations as well as the club’s print and digital communications.

Chief executive Jamie Clifford said: “A modern languages graduate,Thomastrained at the Press Association and has worked for Kent Regional News and Media since 2011, firstly as a reporter on the popular Isle of Thanet Gazette newspaper and more recently as the company’s digital publisher.

In that role, he oversaw the roll-out of eight new branded websites replacing a Kent-wide brand and the development of the social media, multimedia content and digital strategy. He also has a life-long passion for Cricket, a keen cricketer at school, university and club level.

Brown stated: “I am thrilled to be joining the club at such at an exciting time for Kent on and off the pitch.

“Using both modern and traditional tools, we will aim to keep our supporters at the heart of everything and reach out to all corners of the community to ensure Kent Cricket goes from strength to strength.

“I’ll be aiming to reach every corner of the county to attract newsupportersand players to the sport and get everyone behind Kent Cricket and the Kent Spitfires. As the tag-line says,Together we are Kent.”

Brown starts his role on Monday August 25.
