Kent draw with Glamorgan at Cardiff

Kent collected ten points as Mitch Claydon took three more wickets as the Specsavers County Championship match ended in stalemate at the SSE Swalec.

Former Sussex 'keeper Callum Jackson, who has played several matches for the 2nd XI this summer, deputised behind the stumps as Adam Rouse who faces a spell out after surgery on his injured finger.

Glamorgan resumed on 22 without loss before losing captain Jacques Rudolph, who pulled a short ball from Claydon to long leg.

Mark Wallace put on 52 with Will Bragg who was bowled comprehensively by Matt Coles for 22.

The home team lost three wickets for twenty runs early in the afternoon session, but Aneurin Donald and Graham Wagg avoided any further alarms with a partnership of 80 for the sixth wicket.

Wallace completed a patient half century before he was out, caught behind by Callum Jackson off Matt Coles for 52.

He was quickly followed by Chris Cooke (LBW for 17) and David Lloyd (0) who was caught by Tom Latham at second slip after the ball was diverted across the slip cordon.

Donald made an attractive 67 from 68 balls with nine fours before being trapped LBW by James Tredwell, who made way for a succession of part-time bowlers including Latham, Sean Dickson and Sam Northeast before the sides shook hands.
