Last tickets remaining: An Evening with Alan Knott at the St Lawrence Ground this Thursday

Kent Members and Supporters are being urged to book quickly if they want toattend An Evening with Alan Knott, live at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury this Thursday.

Only 20 tickets remain for the night of fun and reflection with the former Kent and England gloveman and these will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Former Kent and England wicketkeeper. Knott appeared in 95 Test matches for England and made over 500 first class appearances, is returning to his former home on Thursday, 3rd May and will reminisce on his fine playing career with his friend and agent Jamie Reid. Supporters will get the chance to ask their questions and some of Alan’s personal memorabilia will be available at all price ranges.

Knott, who is widely regarded as the greatest wicketkeeper of all time, will tell stories of playing for Kent in the club’s most successful period (late 1960s and 1970s) as well as representing England; where he played with the likes of Geoffrey Boycott, Derek Underwood, the late Bobby Woolmer and the man regarded as one of the best captain’s of all time – Ray Illingworth.

Alan, who was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1970, is clearly looking forward to his return. He said: “I was lucky enough to play in very talented and successful teams with both Kent and England. I thoroughly enjoyed my career and am now looking forward to sharing an insight into my life as a professional cricketer and to seeing how well the new facilities at the St Lawrence Ground are progressing.”
