Marsh takes two wickets as England win opening ODI in West Indies

Laura Marsh took two wickets as England made a late comeback to clinch a five-run win in the opening one-day international against the West Indies.

The tourists struggled on a tricky pitch as Danni Wyatt’s 44 helped England to 149 after winning the toss.

Several players got strong starts before falling and in reply, the hosts’ skipper Deandra Dottin’s departure triggered a middle order collapse with spinner Alex Hartley picking up three wickets.

Three wickets fell with the score on 100 before a late Katherine Brunt (3/24) surge mopped up the tail to secure a five-run win.
