Matt Hunn takes six wickets in second XI defeat

Matt Hunn took six wickets as Kent second XI lost to Middlesex in their final Championship match of the season at The County Ground, Beckenham.

The visitors secured an innings victory after dismissing Kent twice either side of scoring 405.

After winning the toss and batting first on a good wicket, Adam Ball (35), Ollie Robinson (27) and Sam Weller (24) provided resistance before Kent were all out for 148.

Middlesex built a big lead thanks to 160 from Robbie White and half centuries from George Scott and Anshuman Rath before Matt Hunn’s 6/93 led the fightback on the second morning.

Adam Ball (41) again posted the highest score of the top order as Kent slid to 68-5 trying to save the game on the third evening.

Skipper Adam Riley top-scored with 46 and threatened to salvage a draw with two stubborn half-century stand with Oliver Robinson (43) and Sam Weller (16 not out) before Middlesex mopped up the tail.
