Public Exhibition – McCarthy & Stone

Kent County Cricket Club will host a public exhibition of plans for the redevelopment of the Old Dover Road side of the ground on Tuesday 11th February (3.30pm to 7pm) in The Chiesman Pavilion at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence.

This consultation session is open to all members and supporters, as well as those who live or work in the local area. McCarthy & Stone are at the early stages of discussions with Canterbury City Council about redeveloping the site with a high-quality residential development.

Given the unique character of The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence McCarthy & Stone are proposing to redevelop the Old Dover Road side of the ground with one of their bespoke age-exclusive developments, which will consist of bespoke apartments, carefully designed to complement the Club. Included in the early proposals is a comprehensive landscape plan which has been designed to retain as much of the site’s attractive landscaping and planting as possible.

As part of our commitment to community engagement, McCarthy & Stone would like to invite anyone interested to a public exhibition to meet the project team, view the proposals and provide early feedback on the plans before a planning application is submitted. Members of the project team will be available to talk about the scheme and answer any questions that individuals may have.
