Sam Billings picked in Pakistan Super League draft

Kent and England wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings has been picked by Islamabad United for the first Pakistan Super League draft.
The inaugural tournament will be held in February 2016 at Dubai and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
The 24-year-old made his international breakthrough in 2015 after impressive white-ball performances for Kent Spitfires.
His potential team-mates include Australia’s Shane Watson and Brad Haddin, West Indies’ Andre Russell and Samuel Badree, Pakistan stars Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Irfan, Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Sami.
The United team director is former Lancashire and Pakistan star Wasim Akram and head coach is ex-Australia batsman Dean Jones.
Other county cricketers involved in the tournament include Hampshire’s James Vince (Karachi), Sussex’s Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan of Middlesex and Somerset’s Jim Allenby (Peshawar) and ex- England batsman Kevin Pietersen and Sussex skipper Luke Wright (Quetta).
