Sandwich Town reach regional indoor cricket finals day

Kent champions Sandwich Town return to the Ames Levett Sports Centre next weekend for the ECB Indoor National Club Championship Regional Final.

The top teams from Berkshire, Essex and Hampshire will take on the Thanet League champions at the home of Kent Cricket on Sunday 1 March, after defeating Sussex county winners Preston Nomads in a play-off.

Town's team features Kent Cricket Academy graduate Ryan Davies, who earned a pro contract last year and scored 25 not out in the play-off.

Play starts at 1.15pm with Sandwich facing Theale & Tilehurst of Berkshire in the first semi-final and South Woodford (Essex) versus Sarisbury Athletic (Hampshire) at 2.45pm with the final at 4.30pm.

The winning team will progress to the National Finals at Lord’s on Sunday 15March.
