Tammy Beaumont top-scores in West Indies defeat

Tammy Beaumont top-scored for England as West Indies won in Jamaica to set up a winner-takes-all finale on Wednesday.

The Kent opener scored 57 as England reached 133-1 chasing 224 to win at Sabina Park before collapsing to a 42-run defeat.

Earlier, county colleague Laura Marsh took 1/46 in ten overs as a late flurry of 60 runs in the last ten overs inspired by captain Stefanie Taylor’s 85.

In reply, Beaumont and opening partner Lauren Winfield passed 50 and skipper Heather Knight scored 36 but Laura Marsh (13) was the only other player to reach double figures.

Marsh was one of five victims of run-outs as England lost nine wickets for 48 runs in 16 overs.
