Tash Farrant to play for Western Fury in WNCL

Kent bowler Tash Farrant has signed to play for Western Fury in Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) this winter.

The 20-year-old England international left-armer flew Down Under this week to join her new teammates including Australia internationals Nicole Bolton and Elyse Villani.

Fury are coached by former England Academy coach Lisa Keightley and will start the WNCL season against ACT Meteors at the WACA in Perth next Friday (14 October).

Farrant, who took 20 wickets in Kent's double-winning season this summer, could face her county captain Charlotte Edwards when Fury play South Australia Scorpions in Adelaide on Wednesday 19 October.
