Academy attack impresses in Essex draw at Beckenham

Kent Academy’s bowlers impressed in a draw at The County Ground, Beckenham on Sunday.
England Under 19 and Folkestone seamer Hugh Bernard, Canterbury paceman Piers Richardson and Elham Valley spinner Jan Gray took three wickets apiece as Essex declared on 241 for nine.
In reply, Harold Wood CC batsman Afrasiyab Malik top-scored with 46 and shared 69 runs for the second wicket with Mahi Mahfuzul.
Charlie Russell-Vick of Tunbridge Wells CC reached 23 not out as Kent posted 165 for seven before the sides shook hands.
