Player Biography

A former England Under-19 captain, Adam signed his first professional contract with the Club, a three-year deal, aged just 16.

During the early stages of his career, the former Beth’s Grammar School student has based his game on bowling a nagging line outside of off stump while providing lower-order stability with the bat.

After making his debut at the end of the 2010 campaign, Adam went on to make nine first-class appearances during the summer of 2011 and has become an integral part of the Spitfires t20 team, whilst continuing to study at the University of Kent.

During the 2012 campaign, the left-arm seam bowler took 12 T20 wickets at an average of just over 18 to top the Spitfires’ wicket-taking charts. It capped a year which saw him also skipper his country at the Under 19 World Cup.

In 2013, Adam developed further despite missing a chunk of the season through injury. In the final game of the County Championship season, he struck 69, a first-class best, to help Kent seal a memorable win over Lancashire, and show that the youngster can contribute in all forms of the game – with both bat and ball.

Ball signed a long-term contract extension in 2014 before spending a winter in Queensland, playing for Redlands Tigers.

He improved his one-day career-best score on the FGS Plant Tour with 40 not out against Windward Islands Volcanoes in Antigua.

Ball left Kent at the end of the 2017 season
