Adam continues to develop as James Tredwell’s off-spinning understudy at Kent after another season of showing glimpses of his emerging talent.
With Kent’s new captain sure to be away on international duty, the tall slow bowler has proved to be a more than capable replacement. Seven wickets in LV= CC cricket across the season took his career First Class haul to 23 victims, with his best figures of 5-76 coming against Loughborough MCCU in 2011.
His height produces a spinner’s best friend – bounce – and his attributes have ensured that he is dangerous in the short forms of the game as well. Impressive t20 figures of 2-15 against Surrey at The Oval last season helped dismiss the hosts for 88 and in CB40 cricket his best return of 2-32 came against Sussex Sharks at Hove in 2011.
With the captain remaining firmly in the thoughts of the national selectors, Adam will be looking to take every opportunity on offer in 2013.
