Brendan, the former West Indies Test match batsman, has proved to be a fine acquisition – having amassed nearly 2,000 first-class runs for Kent during his two season stay.

After renewing his stay ahead of the 2013 season, Brendan enjoyed an even more prolific spell last year, passing a thousand runs in Championship cricket. His finest moment came when a stunning, unbeaten 199 led Kent to an improbable win at Gloucestershire after they chased down 411 to win. The batsman also reached the century mark on four other occasions and smashed another 436 runs in YB40 cricket to cement himself as the mainstay of Kent’s batting line-up in both forms of the game.

Brendan was born in Perth, Western Australia, but played Test and ODI cricket for West Indies. He is the son of Paul Nash, the Jamaican Olympic Swimmer, who competed at the 1966 and 1970 Commonwealth Games as well as the 1968 Olympics.
