Player Biography

A genuinely fast-bowler, David will be looking to add much-needed firepower to Kent’s bowling attack after making the move from Hampshire in readiness for the 2014 season.

The Isle of Wight born paceman has an impressive first-class record, and despite finding first-team opportunities at his former side limited in recent times, Kent fans will be hoping his pace will add the final gloss to the Club’s varied bowling attack.

Before making his debut in 2006, David represented England Under-19s, showing enough quality to be handed a contract on the south-coast. He has taken 105 wickets in 36 first-class appearances with career best figures of 6-85, claimed against Nottinghamshire in 2011. His List A record also shows promise, having taken 27 wickets at an average of 29.44.

David will hope to substantially add to that tally following his move to the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence and, with injury problems hopefully behind him, he could prove to be one of the spearheads of Kent’s attack this season.
